Italian based composer Grotta Veterano first came to our attention with his beautiful album “Unfolding Drama’ released via Fluid Audio. Having previously released on a string of great label including Dewtone, Matter and La Petite Chambre Records, we are very happy to bring Grotta into the Elm Records family with this wonderful EP.
‘A Clear Grey, Sunday Sky’ is an album structured around a very simple idea, to create a long sound tapestry and then divide it into four paintings. This approach follows a bit of a phase I’m going through, where I try to escape as much as possible from medium-short duration musical forms. This release represents another chapter in my quest to create music designed for sleeping, for long journeys or for falling asleep at night. There is no particular concept behind this music, I assembled these sounds letting myself be inspired by the colours in the sky of a lazy Sunday afternoon. I hope that once again the music can make you escape with your mind for a few minutes, at least.
