For anyone who has seen Slow Clinic perform in a live environment since 2016, this may sound familiar. The track ‘St Andrew’s Day’ was first written around five years ago in response to chance encounters. The track is being released as part of an EP to raise funds for an album that has been in the works for a number of years.
Remixes of forthcoming album tracks by Andrew Sherwell and Hol (Becky Crowther) are included alongside new sounds exclusive to this release. One of the biggest challenges when releasing music that has been imagined over a prolonged period is that the expectation becomes somewhat unreal. Thankfully, Andrew and Becky have provided trusted ears and listened to multiple revisions over the past few months. It’s great to have both artists adding their own interpretations after being so involved as these recordings took shape.
The artwork was created using a collection of vintage Romanian stamps built over the years. These stamps will make a more physical appearance when the album arrives in November.
