The Green Kingdom returns to Elm Records with his first full length release ‘Offworld Field Guide’ avilable to pre-order now as a limited edition cassette or as a digital download.
The Offworld Field Guide sees The Green Kingdom delving into the realms of science fiction with a very synth-heavy album that sees him exploring electronic textures, beats and melody in beautifully crafted guide to the Offworld.
“These pieces were all written during the “lockdown” period, and most began life as synth-based sketches as a way to get away from the guitar for a bit. As they developed into what would become a proper TGK mini-album, a sort of retro sci-fi aesthetic started to take shape. The concept of little lullabies to soundtrack an isolated life on another world seemed apropos- my hope is that they might enhance life on this one in some small way as well”.
