Hirotaka Shirotsubaki’s first release with Elm Records comes in the form of two long-form, improvised guitar pieces. Waterfront takes you on a nostalgic journey full of sentimentality and serenity, slowly guiding the listener through a hypnotic field of subtle guitar drones, evolving textures and imagined soundscapes. Hirotaka describes the album as “A quiet, sustained, improvisational piece of guitar sounds that spins a record of my memories of my days living on the city’s waterfront”
